The project was originally set to be built in Coralville, but city leaders there and managers for the Iowa Environmental Project haven't been able to agree on whether the city should lease or give away the 22 acres of land the rainforest would be built on. Right now Coralville is still in the running, but project leaders are looking into other cities including Des Moines.
