Finally, an editorial from the Telegraph Herald that I fully agree with! Concerning the Iowa's rainforest project. This was a horrible pork-barrel spending project from the beginning. Shame on our congressmen for getting it as far as it's come. I'm glad that it has gotten national exposure as being bottom-of-the-barrel pork spending. I also think it's dirty to try to take it away from Iowa City, good or bad.

Dubuque is starting to make headways of getting away from being the laughingstock of the country, from the awful Urban Renewal decisions of the 1960s. Let's keep going in the right direction and stop keeping up with the Joneses, and appreciate what we have.
